To participate in a Level 2 course, you must be able to correctly perform (by singing) most of the Level 1 contrapuntal models listed here.

Programme

The exact programme for each course is determined at the time of enrolment, depending on the duration of the course and the wishes of the participants.

 

Canons

• 2-part canon in upper and lower fifths, with cadences and formulas

• 3-part canon (-5/+8 or -8/+5), with cadences and formulas

        Words: note names or syllables of your choice

Simple counterpoint

• Fauxbourdon from the tenor or from the soprano, in equal notes

        - on a hymn or song in modern notation, with lyrics

• Fauxbourdon on tenor or soprano, rhythmic

        - over a pedagogical cantus firmus in modern notation, with note names or syllables of your choice

        - over a hymn or song in modern notation, with lyrics

• Gymel in 6ths + bassus 3/5

        - over a pedagogical cantus firmus in modern notation, with note names or syllables of your choice

• 4 voices, with a bassus 3/5

Florid counterpoint
