Required skills
You are a musician, amateur or professional, singer and/or instrumentalist. You are new to Renaissance counterpoint, or you already have some experience: this course is for you!
The only skills required are the ability to recognise different intervals by ear and to sing them from a given note.
Programme
The exact programme for the courses is decided at the time, depending on the duration of the training and the wishes of the participants.
Canons
• 2-part canon in unison, in 1 beat, with cadences and formulas
• Canon at the upper or lower octave, with cadences and formulas
Words: names of notes or syllables of your choice
Simple counterpoint
• Gymel in upper 6ths or lower 3rds, with cadences, syncopations and passing notes.

- on a song in modern notation, with lyrics
• Fauxbourdon from the tenor or from the soprano, in equal notes
- on a pedagogical cantus firmus in modern notation, with note names or syllables of your choice
Florid counterpoint
Over a pedagogical cantus firmus in modern notation, with note names or syllables of your choice :
• 1 voice over a cantus firmus, with 2 notes against one
• 1 voice over a cantus firmus, with 3 notes against one
